Thank you to all who had prayed for the last build trip! With the three guys from Orland, the floor, frame, and roof were finished on our new house:
Outer walls:
Rafters and purlins:
Insulation foil:
Finishing the roofing metal and flashing:
As you may expect, building in a remote spot with materials from deconstructed houses requires lots of organizing and manifesting:
The guys finished everything they had hoped to do:
At home, things are going well. The girls are still cute:
The boys are still funny (posing the same as the girls):
Annie has play time with the Twombly girls:
There has been lots of swimming with friends...
... and shopping for visitors:
Ellie is growing, still...
... and battling new sicknesses.
Because we don't get to decide exactly when the heli is free, there are some build trips close together and some far apart. In this case, we said goodbye to the Orland team two weeks ago and quickly got ready for build trip 9 which began today. On Saturday, two groups came to our base: a build team from Texas and a scouting team from a church in California. (They hope to send a family from their church here to be a part of the next church planting team.) It has been a whirlwind weekend of fellowship. Here is a pic of everyone who has been staying on the base here this weekend:
And these are the guys flying in to the village today. They left this morning and their main goal is starting and finishing all our electrical and plumbing.
As I write this, they are all already landed and working in Mawerero. Thank you for praying alongside us!
