This is Oliver and I am writing my first blog. Today Jude and I went on a hike with my dad's language helper, Giye, and his sons. We hiked from our house to Giye's pig house. A pig house is a second hut they build to look after their pigs.
This is a view back toward the village after hiking for only a few minutes.
This is a river flowing at the base of the mountains called the Kuso. We had to cross this river to get to the pig house.
When we left the Kuso we went through this place that was pretty steep and had lots of vines.
We arrived at the pig house.
These are the two pigs that Giye owns.
We had stopped here to see a waterfall.
This is Jude holding a harmless snake that the village kids found.
Back at the Kuso, one of the village kids found a frog and this is a picture of Jude holding it. The villagers eat these frogs.
When we had almost made it back we saw these big mushrooms.
It was a really fun day. I am glad that Giye invited us along!
