Thank you to everyone who prayed for us as we traveled from PNG to Phoenix! We chaperoned two missionaries' kids, so we were a big group (and certainly got the most preferential treatment during boarding ;)). Though we were delayed by a day on the front end, we made it to Phoenix only about 12 hours later than expected and safely handed the two extra kids off to their grandparents.
Our family spent our first week jet-lagged, sick with sinus infections, and going to the doctor (prenatal for me, allergy testing for Oliver, and a first round of overdue vaccines for Annie). This last week we moved into the rental house (where we will settle for the summer), and started homeschool back up. We have had lots of time with Zach's parents and mine, received meals from friends at our church, and are now all sleeping through the night again.
I have taken almost no pictures, but we did celebrate Jude's birthday with family on the 4th and I managed to get in his yearly birthday interview. We are thankful for this guy! Thankful for his sharp mind, his laugh, and thankful to see him growing in wisdom as he grows in height. This year has been an interesting one: we celebrated his 10th birthday in the states, moved back to the village, saw our house fall down, moved to Madang, and now are back in the states again - all during his 11th year. He and his brother (along with his parents and baby sister) are learning the resilience and dependance that comes with following the Lord in uncertainty.
