Annie is nine months! This baby has had a full month of settling in here in the village and… growing :) No plane rides or trips to new places, just living the dream in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
Annie is vocalizing more and seems to be intentional about saying “ta-ta” when people wave at her and “yay” when she claps. She also says “Dada,” which is basically the same word as “ta-ta,” so we will see how that develops. And Zach taught her how to blow kisses and she does her best. (See the video.)
Looking for extra treats in her bib.
Everyone in the village is still so happy to see her and still so surprised at how fat her legs are. She DOES seem to be the fattest of all our kids, as I don’t have memories of Jude or Oliver not fitting in clothing matching their age. Mostly it is her chubby arms that we have to yank through any long sleeves…! She spends lots of time in the book nook just playing happily while life (mostly homeschool) happens around her.
Blanket time is easy when you can't crawl yet.
The boys each have 15 minutes of play time with Annie as part of their day. Annie loves them so much.
Here is a video of everyone trying to get Annie to do her tricks, but she is a little too distracted from all the attention...
A bonus video. Annie likes some games with her brothers better than others:
